The results for largest tech giant Microsoft Corporation(MSFT) was announced and the revenue grew by 2% and 7% respectively in constant currency though below wall street expectations. The company's commercial offerings continued to drive higher value for customers. Microsoft Cloud business revenue increased by 22% and 29% in constant currency during the quarter. Although the company saw impressive performance in many regions, the United States underperformed. Some of the most critical aspects of our commercial enterprise are as follows:
Despite a slowdown in new business expansion, commercial bookings increased by 7%, or 4%, when adjusted for inflation. Meanwhile, when adjusted for inflation, Azure and other cloud services grew by 31%, or 38%, reflecting moderating consumption growth in the final days of the quarter.
Over the past year, our security business has generated more than $20 billion in revenue. This quarter, Teams' product surpassed 280 million MAUs, and the company is gaining market share in every central area of business communication. Office commercial seating increased by 12% due to solid demand from SMBs and frontline employees.
As expected, the consumer PC market was down, and the advertising market was also somewhat more cautious, so these trends reflected poorly on our business. Importantly, participation in key areas kept rising. Some highlights from our consumer-facing enterprises are provided below:
Devices revenue fell 39% & 34%, reflecting the Consumer market weakness and several execution struggles on new product launches in Surface. Search, and news advertising revenue ex-TAC grew 10% & 15% in constant currency. Edge grew share for the seventh consecutive quarter, with Xandr contributing 6 points of that growth. Gaming MAUs surpassed a record high, with Xandr contributing 6 points of growth.
NIFTY and NASDAQ should show gittery reactions in next trading session. However, the overall sentiments seems to be bullish for tech giant in the future.
